Efficiently matching people with the community services that can help them — that’s huge progress. But what happens to those referrals afterwards? How many people actually receive the services to which they were referred?
Through a partnership with the Mile Square community health clinics and Healthcare Alternative Systems, a mental health services agency, Purple Binder is launching a system that creates a feedback loop between health systems and community providers.
Referrals between the two organizations are sent as messages via a HIPAA-compliant system. When a referral is received, the agency reaches out to the patient and books them an appointment. The system is lightweight, easy to use, and requires no workflow changes from the organizations receiving referrals.
