Project Description

Community Care Alliance of Illinois logo

Community Care Alliance of Illinois (CCAI) is a Medicaid Managed Care Organization (MCO) with 50,000 members.

It’s a one-stop shop for resources available to members in their community. It also increases the quality of resources — staff can easily identify whether a member is eligible for services. And administratively, Purple Binder is quick to respond to CCAI’s needs. Overall, Purple Binder increases quality of life for our members.

How CCAI’s Care Teams Use Purple Binder

CCAI’s Long Term Services and Supports team uses Purple Binder to connect members with the resources they need to stay healthy. We’ve also worked with them to make sure that their members stay in-network.

Addressing the Social Determinants of Health with Purple Binder

Using Purple Binder, CCAI’s care team quickly and efficiently connects patients to local resources that address their social determinants of health. Whether a housing program, utility assistance, or a food pantry, they know that they can find accurate, up-to-date information for their members.

Everything is in there. It’s a lifesaver for me in my job.

What Success Looks Like

In one success story, CCAI staff completed an assessment of a member and determined that the member needed to leave his current housing situation. Using Purple Binder, CCAI identified a low-cost senior housing program and enrolled the member in the program.
